60th VAPORETTI RACE

From 11 to 14 June, the 60th edition of Spoleto’s traditional event

The 60th edition of the Corsa dei Vaporetti will take place from 11 to 14 June. This historic event, organised by the Associazione Vaporetti Spoleto A.S.D., combines traditional craftsmanship, sporting competition and the city’s identity.


The Corsa dei Vaporetti retains its traditional format, featuring hand-built, non-motorised boats, crews of two athletes and an urban course of approximately 1,300 metres. This year, 44 vaporetti will take part.

The 60th edition marks a historic milestone for the city of Spoleto. This achievement is the result of collaboration between institutions, sponsors, volunteers, craftsmen, athletes and citizens: a shared commitment that has enabled the Corsa dei Vaporetti to grow, evolve and establish itself as one of the region’s most iconic events.

The 2026 edition will kick off on 11 June with the presentation of the crews and the beauty queens in Piazza Garibaldi, continue on 12 June with free practice and timed trials, and conclude on 13 and 14 June with the two days of competition.

On 20 June, at Ristorante Zengoni, the closing dinner will be held, featuring the announcement of the winners (to book, please visit the Avis Spoleto office at Via Fratelli Cervi, 19-21) and the crowning of Miss Vaporetto 2026.
