The hamlets of the Spoleto area, thanks to the commitment and dedication of Pro Loco and local associations, celebrate their uniqueness and traditions through festivals and village fairs that are very much felt and participated in by the locals.
Most of them are dedicated to local gastronomic products. Among the longest-running and most popular festivals are the Asparagus Festival in Eggi, the Eel and Crayfish Festival in Beroide, the Festival of typical Spoleto meats and fritters in Baiano, the Gnocchi, Pork and Trebbiano Spoletino Festival in San Brizio, the Truffle Bruschetta Festival and the Sweet Chestnut Festival in Strettura, and the Truffle Festival in Terzo San Severo.
On these occasions it is possible to get in touch with the local community and capture the most authentic spirit of the places, thanks to an atmosphere of simple and cheerful conviviality and traditional cuisine, offered in specially set up stands or "taverns".
Dancing evenings with ballroom dance orchestras are the entertainment usually offered at this type of festival, but visitors can also enjoy theatre performances in the Spoleto dialect, traditional games, dance performances, market exhibitions and thematic meetings.
