THE NEW EXHIBITION SEASON AT PALAZZO COLLICOLA

From 27 June 2026: three new exhibitions and the new layout of the “G. Carandente” Gallery of Modern Art

On Saturday 27 June 2026, from 11.00 am, the opening of the exhibitions at Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto is scheduled: Anafora, a solo exhibition by Giuseppe Penone, curated by Saverio Verini; Grande assurdo, a solo exhibition by Adelaide Cioni, curated by Saverio Verini; Un salto nel vuoto, a solo exhibition by Filippo Marignoli, curated by Peter Benson Miller.

The exhibitions, which will open to coincide with the start of the 69th edition of the Festival dei Due Mondi, will run for the duration of the festival and continue into the following months, encompassing a variety of artistic languages and appealing to a wide audience.
The exhibitions at Palazzo Collicola will be on display until 10 January 2027.

Alongside the new exhibition cycle, the new layout of the ‘G. Carandente’ Gallery of Modern Art will also be unveiled. This permanent collection of contemporary art, housed on the second floor of Palazzo Collicola, features works by leading figures on the national and international art scene, such as Alexander Calder, Leoncillo, Sol LeWitt, Beverly Pepper, Pino Pascali, David Smith, Anthony Caro, Alberto Burri, Carla Accardi and Pietro Consagra.

The exhibition programme is further enhanced by two additional exhibitions that enrich the summer calendar. The first, hosted at the Casa Romana, is organised in collaboration with Mahler & LeWitt Studios and features the project In Negotiation by the Anglo-Swiss collective jocjonjosch. The opening will take place on Saturday 27 June at 3.00 pm; the exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday 11 October.

Marmotta. Studio per una specie non osservata (Marmot: Study of an Unobserved Species), by the French artist Laurent Le Deunff (Talence, France, 1977), is the project hosted at MuST – Museo delle Scienze e del Territorio, curated by Isabella Vitale in collaboration with Saverio Verini. The opening is scheduled for Saturday 27 June at 5.00 pm; the exhibition will close on Saturday 5 September.
