The Documentation Centre of the Festival dei Due Mondi found its place in the 16th century palace that for many years has been the house of Maestro Gian Carlo Menotti.
It represents a continuity sign between past and present, giving form and context to audio, video and photographic material related to the editions of the Festival from 1958, the year of its foundation, to the present day.
Over the years, these materials have been collected by the Municipality of Spoleto, the Festival of the Two Worlds Foundation and the Monini Foundation, which, through a collaboration agreement between the institutions, managed to digitalize and make them available.
The location can be visited all year round, with spaces dedicated to the history of the Festival, the figure of the Maestro Gian Carlo Menotti and the link between the Festival, the city and the international cultural context.
Through a multimedia and interactive set-up, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy content and documentary material of high historical, cultural and artistic value, with the chance to interact by following a path through the various floors of the house.
